JOB TITLE: SHEQ Officer
DEPARTMENT: Risk
REPORTING TO: Risk Manager

SALARY: Market related / negotiable

Key Results Areas:

  • Developing, implementing and improving the health and safety plans, programmes and procedures in the workplace.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Conducting SHEQ inspections, audits and risk assessment
  • Incident Investigations
  • Emergency Planning
  • Legal Registers
  • Check on safety training compliance
  • SHE Meetings

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Grade 12 minimum
  • SAMTRAC Qualification
  • A tertiary qualification in the field will be an added advantage

Required Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years SHEQ experience

Recommended Skills, Knowledge & Qualities

  • Deadline orientated
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • SHEQ Knowledge in the field of forestry will be to your advantage
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Good team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft – will be tested at interview
  • Attention to detail
