Location: Rothesay Farm, Lothair, 2370, New Scotland

Reporting to: Production Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations in the structural department to ensure production targets are met.
- Supervise and coordinate staff to maintain efficiency and high-quality output.
- Ensure all structural timber meets **SABS standards** and customer specifications.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and compliance with company policies.
- Optimize workflow to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement quality control measures.
- Assist in training employees and developing team performance.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a sawmill or timber processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of structural timber processing, grading standards (SABS), and timber treatment processes.
- Technical understanding of sawmill machinery
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to meet production targets and maintain quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced timber production environment.
- Understanding of timber drying, moisture content control, and defect prevention.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations (OSH Act) and environmental compliance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to analyze production data and reports.
