REQUIREMENTS:
- The candidate must be a qualified electrician
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical work and maintenance in a
- awmilling environment.
- illingness to perform standby/callout duties and work overtime as and when
required. - Sawmill maintenance on a broad spectrum will be advantageous.
- Probable night shift will be required.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend to and repair all electrical breakdowns
- Trace electrical faults, replace and rewire components and panels
- Fault-find on PLC’s and VSD’s as well as changing out VSDs
- Install and test new electrical installations
- Complete maintenance work as per management’s instructions
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures whilst maintaining high levels of
housekeeping - Assist artisans with maintenance, mechanical faults/breakdowns, and new
installations on all machines.
The ideal candidate is 30 to 40 years old, has sober habits, and is dedicated to their work. It will be an advantage for the candidate to speak and understand Zulu well.
Contract specifications and salary package will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
